A mother of two on Tuesday appeared on charges of narcotics and illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition.

According to the facts read out by Chief Magistrate Ann Mc Lennan, on September 16, 2016, Alexis Phillips was found to be in possession of 51 kilos and 350 grams of cannabis for the purpose of trafficking.

The court also heard that on the same date the defendant was in possession of two live rounds ammunition and one firearm.

The woman, who was represented by Attorney at Law Mark Waldron, pleaded not guilty to both charges and was remanded to prison and will reappear at the Georgetown Magistrates Court 5 on October 5, 2016.
