Three men were Wednesday afternoon rendered homeless when fire destroyed their shack on the Plaisance Railway Embankment opposite the village market.
No one was injured.
Investigators believe a bed-ridden man whose name was given as Hubert Nathaniel Critchlow might know how the blaze started.
Another of the occupants name was given only as David. The three men were described as sick and alcoholics.
