Pedestrian dies in accident with Attorney-at-Law

The Police Traffic Department of ‘A’ Division are investigating an accident that claimed the life of a pedestrian Tuesday evening.

Investigators said the incident occurred about 18:30hrs on Tuesday November 10,2015 on Duncan Street , Campbellville Public Road ,involving motor car PRR 8181 driven by Keshia Chase and Pedestrian Julian Leitch, 47yrs of lot ‘C’ Enachu street, Bel Air Park.

Chase is an Attorney-at-Law.

Enquiries disclosed from the driver of the car that she was proceeding east at a normal rate of speed when she suddenly saw the pedestrian on the centre of the road in front of her vehicle but because of the closeness, he was struck down .

Leitch was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital where he died at 20:45 hrs whilst receiving treatment. The body is presently at the Georgetown Public Hospital mortuary awaiting a post-mortem examination.

Chase is in police custody assisting with the investigation.
