A man known to law enforcement authorities was Tuesday night gunned down in East Ruimveldt, Georgetown, police confirmed.
He was identified as 40-year old Dexter Griffith.
Investigators were told that he was sitting in front of a yard when a lone gunman walked up to him and discharged several rounds.
Sources said Griffith was shot several times to his face and was pronounced dead on arrival at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC).
Griffith is said to be closely associated with his brother who is well-known as ‘Mafia’.
