Gasoline, diesel prices reduced

Finance Minister Winston Jordan Wednesday afternoon announced that prices of gasoline and diesel with immediate effect.

The new prices are diesel:  GUY$168.00 per liter, down from GUY$174.70 and gasoline is now GUY$199.00, down from GUY$210.00.

Jordan hoped that those additional “pro poor measures” would trickle down to ordinary people including school children. “It is hope that these decreases trending in the right direction will be passed on to the consumer especially in light of the e pending opening of school where school children will have to use public transport,” he told the National Assembly.
