Woman charged with alleged murder of brother

An East Bank Demerara woman was Friday arraigned for the alleged murder of her brother.

Twenty-five year old Debbie Hansraj of Covent Garden is accused of the murder of 21 year old Vishal Hansraj.

She was not required to plea to the indictable offence that she allegedly committed between April 17 and 18, 2017 at Covent Garden Sea Dam.

Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan remanded the woman to prison until May 8, 2017.

Police said she allegedly stabbed her brother twice  offence on Easter Monday at about 6 PM.
