Mother accused of embezzling Country Pride’s money

A mother of four is now on GYD$40,000 bail after appearing in court for embezzling over GYD$2M from Country Pride.

It is alleged that between January 1, 2015 and July 18, 2016 in Georgetown, Pauline Stewart embezzled $2,085,305 while employed as a clerk or servant at Country Pride.

The money had allegedly been given to the accused to be passed on to Her employer.

Since there were no objections to bail, the 42-year-old was granted $40,000 bail.

The matter will be called again On November 3, 2016, and the defendant was ordered to report to the Brickdam Police Station every Friday at 9 AM until the outcome of the matter.
