Bound, gagged body of pensioner found in Essequibo home

Police are conducting investigations into the circumstances surrounding the death of a 63-year-old man of East Bank Essequibo.

According to a police statement, the body of Ramroop Rameshwar was found in his Parika Sea Dam, EBE home at about 06:30 hrs onTuesday February 02, 2016.

 Police say Rameshwar was found with his feet and hands tied and his mouth gagged, with blood oozing from his mouth and nostrils.

 The man reportedly lived in the home alone.

The body is at the Ezekiel Funeral Home awaiting a Post Mortem Examination.
