Essequibo Merchant is GTT winner in Merchant promotion

Mr. Yawei Jiang emerged the grand prize winner in the Guyana Telephone and Telegraph’s (GTT’s) “Sell More Top Up to Win” Merchant Promotion and received a surprise visit from GTT on Thursday, January 7.

GTT’s Vendor Management team visited the winner at his place of business, a restaurant in Suddie, Essequibo and presented him with his prize in the early hours of the morning.

The promotion which was held between November 29 and December 26, 2015, encouraged GTT merchants to sell more top up in order to have a chance to win weekly prizes totaling $200,000 and the Grand Prize of $1,000,000 in airtime.

The weekly winners of $100,000 were Sugrim General Store, Ms. Patriena Bristol, Mr. Dabie Dyal Surujdin, Devindra Jagdeo; $50,000 – Mr. Gregory Ceres, Ms. Janice Cumberbatch, Dave’s Pharmacy, and Mr. Jason Narainel; $30,000 winners were Ms. Kamini Ragnath, Ms. Reshma Singh, Mr. Joshwa Powder and Mr. Gregory Ceres and the $20,000 winners were Mr. Rockell Washington, Ms. Shamila Amadally, Mr. Seechan Shewprashad, and Mr. Ponnai Bhigroog .

Merchants earned coupons into the weekly and grand prize draw for every $10,000 top up they sold. Those who sold at least $100,000 during the promotion period were eligible for the grand prize of $1,000,000.
