Bodies of male, female found at Kingston foreshore

The bodies of two unidentified persons were Monday afternoon found at the Kingston foreshore, Georgetown in what appears to be a double suicide, according to police sources.

The names of the man and woman were not immediately known as there were no forms of identification in their possession.

Bottles containing substances were found near the bodies. There were no visible marks of violence.

Guyana has the largest number of suicides per capita in the world, according to the World Health Organisation.
