Arsonists attempt to burn West Bank Demerara school

Arsonists attempted to burn down the L’Adventure Secondary School, West Bank Demerara Monday night, according to Fire Chief Marlon Gentle.

Gentle said investigators found kerosene, pieces of paper and matches at the scene.

The Fire Chief credited neighbours with putting out the blaze at the school located at Canal Number One. He said only a cupboard was scorched.

Monday night’s fire was the second in as many years at that school.
