A Brazilian businessman and a Guyanese man were shot dead in separate incidents within 24 hours, police said in a statement.
The businessman, 58-year old Antonia De Sena, was shot and robbed at Arau Landing, Wenamu Rivr.
Investigators were told that about 8 O’clock Saturday night, the bandit entered De Sena’s business place and held him at gunpoint and demanded gold and cash.
De Sena resisted and was shot to his chest by the perpetrator who took away a sum of cash and escaped.
Several hours later, at about 5:50 AM Monday, the body of 31-year old Quincy Bowman was found on a bridge at Festival City, Georgetown, with a suspected gunshot injury to his head.
Police said the deceased, who was of mixed ancestry, is about 5’ 7” in height, brown complexion, and was clad in a ¾ white pants, burgundy hood top and a pair of white and blue Nike boots.
Bowman’s body is at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation mortuary as the investigations continue.
