Guyana’s Former President, Bharrat Jagdeo held a news conference on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 on a number of issues
including the controversial multi-million dollar medical benefits granted to government ministers and officials and his controversial “coolie” remarks at Babu John.

He also spoke about the drawing down of monies from the Guyana Geology and Mines Commission to buy land and from the Guyana Sugar Corporation and bail out the cash-strapped sugar producer.

He also took mild verbal swipes at the approach by his predecessor and incumbent President, Donald Ramotar.
