The bodies of two fishermen, who were victims of an alleged piracy attack earlier this month, have so far been found at different locations of the Corentyne foreshore.

They are those of 22-year old Naresh Persaud of Number 72 Village, Corentyne and 36-year old Omesh Derhup of Skeldon, Corentyne.

Persaud’s body was found on the Alness foreshore and that of Derhup at the Kildonan foreshore.

They were two of five men who were aboard the fishing boat, “Miss Seema”.

Government Pathologist, Dr. Vivekanand Brijmohan said Persaud died of multiple injuries. He has not given his findings as yet in relation to Omesh Derhup.

“Miss Seema” was found on the Whim Foreshore, Corentyne on July 25, 2014.
