Two females were seriously injured early Friday morning when the car in which they were travelling ran off the Ogle Public Road, crashed into a utility pole and flipped over.

Their names were not immediately available. Public spirited citizens used tools to remove the persons from the wreck. One of the women sustained severe head injuries and the other a broken shoulder.

An eyewitness said the car, bearing number plate PSS 4538, was seen speeding shortly before the accident occurred about 4 AM.

The whereabouts of the driver were not immediately known as he might have allegedly fled the scene.
