The body of a former nurse at the New Amsterdam Hospital was Sunday morning found in the ‘Blacka’ near Sophia, days after he escaped from home, a relative said.
He has been identified as 25-year old Terron Watts of New Amsterdam and Sophia.
His aunt, Coretta Eastman, believed that the young man committed suicide due to ongoing problems with his mother and stepfather. Eastman said Watts, clad only in his underwear, jumped her fence and ran away Friday.
He was discharged fporm the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation’s (GPHC) Observation Ward on Wednesday, having spent several months there.
Eastman believed that her nephew committed suicide because he had previously attempted to drink two bottles of tablets.
