Police early Tuesday morning captured a third prisoner who escaped from the holding cell at the Georgetown Magistrates Court about 13 hours earlier, police said.
A senior investigator said 20-year old Randolph Marks was found hiding under a bed in a house at Freeman Street, East La Penitence about 1:20 AM.
There was no confrontation between police and the youth who was charged with the murder of last month’s murder of the Patsan Trading Sales representative, Bharrat Ramcharan during the course of a robbery.
With the capture of Marks, police are now searching for the last remaining escapee- Keron Cummings who is facing several robbery charges.
Police said they shot dead 28-year old Vickram Persaud at Fort Wellington, West Coast Berbice Monday night during an armed confrontation. A .38 special revolver was found in his possession.
Steven Bacchus of Block āEā Sophia who has been charged with the murder of Constable Quincy Wright in January, 2014, was nabbed shortly after he and the others had escaped.
Police asked that anyone who has information that may lead to the arrest of Cummings is asked to contact the police on telephone numbers 225-6411, 227-1149, 225-6941 to 3, 225-2227, 226-7065, 911 or the nearest police station.
The four prisoners escaped through a hole by removing the grill and wood work in the holding cell while they were waiting to be taken to a court room, police said.
