Contractor shot, robbed of half a million dollars

A contractor -supervisor working for Noble House Seafoods was Thursday morning shot and robbed of more than GUY$500,000 dollars, police said.

The money belonged to the seafood company where he is working.

At about 1300h. today Thursday March 20, 2014, Shane James, 33 years, of Bagotville, WBD, was on the roadway at Providence, EBD, awaiting transportation when two men on a motor cycle, one of whom was armed with a firearm, confronted him.

The armed man shot Shane James to his abdomen and took away a bag with $ 537, 000.00 and they escaped.

Shane James has been admitted to hospital.

Investigations are in progress.
