Jacobs,22, was not required to plea to the capital offence when she appeared before Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.
The prosecution asked for two weeks to complete the investigations into the incident that occurred on January 31. The body of 55-year old Taylor was found in her house.
Jacobs of 55 Evans Phillips Park, Agricola, was remanded to prison until February 26. She stood in the dock looking very worried and teary-eyed as the charge was read to her.
Investigators believed that Taylor was not the real target but another woman who was found unconscious in the yard. The overseas-based woman was apparently having a relationship with Jacobs’ boyfriend.
