Fashion designer Trevor Rose was shot dead Sunday morning.
Information reaching Demerara Waves Online News from a reliable source said Rose was shot in Eccles, East Bank Demerara sometime before dawn.
Two other persons were injured in the shooting.
Police later said that they recovered one 9mm. pistol and 19 matching rounds at the scene as the investigations continue.
According to reports, Rose and a female companion were heading up the East Bank Demerara in a car bearing registration number PMM 8113 when they were accosted by the occupant of another vehicle at the Eccles entrance traffic light.
A man allegedly exited the heavily tinted second vehicle and opened fire on Rose after reportedly berating the driver of the vehicle in which the designer was travelling.
The driver of the car Troy Nieuwenkirk,33, sustained a gun shot wound to his left shoulder and Latoya Towler,31, was shot to her left buttock.. The injured driver was able to flee the scene with the vehicle and drove to the Georgetown Public Hospital.
Eyewitnesses at the hospital said Rose appeared to have multiple gunshot wounds with at least one to the neck.
Rose, who was also an events promoter, was previously married to fellow fashion designer Michelle Cole with whom he had several children.
