Body of missing man found during trench excavation

The body of a man who had gone missing since Old Year’s Day was Saturday excavated from a canal at Anna Regina, Essequibo Coast. The man has been indentified as Jaglall from Bush Lot Village.

He was identified by family members.  The man, who was known to be heavy consumer of alcohol, was missing since Old Year’s Day.

Residents said an excavator was cleaning the canal opposite Republic Bank when the decomposed remains were brought up. 

The body was taken to a nearby mortuary for an autopsy to be peformed.
