Electricity supply to Linden was restored early Thursday morning after technicians repaired a breaker that interfaces between the generator and the substation, officials said.
Electricity was switched on shortly after 1 AM and went out again moments later. However, it was fully restored momnents later and there has been no disruption since, residents confirmed.
The blackout began around 1:30 Wednesday afternoon but it was not until late in the night that the problem was identified.
Region 10 Chairman, Sharma Solomon had said that the problem was so severe that it prevented the switching on of standby generators.
Electricity generated by BOSAI Minerals is sold to two companies that each supply Mackenzie and Linden.
