A man slit the throat of his common-law wife early Tuesday morning and later hanged himself from a tree- a murder suicide that rocked the usually sleepy agriculture-dependent island of Leguan.
The dead woman has been identified as 24-year old Sunita “Dolly” Lall. Police late Tuesday said the body of Yugindra Jagdai, 30 years, of Endeavour, Leguan, Essequibo, who was the suspect in the murder of Lall was found hanging from a tree at the Endeavour Foreshore at about 3:30 PM
Family-friends said the woman’s throat was slit by her husband, Vicky, with whom she shared a “rocky” relationship. She leaves behind three children ranging from one year to six years old.
The incident occurred at Endeavour about 3 AM.
The children were taken to their grandmother.
