Two charged for gun, ammo at Ogle Airport

Two men were Friday arraigned on a charge of allegedly being in illegal possession of a gun and ammunition at the Ogle International Airport.

They aare Jameen Fareen and Phillip Mc Pherson. Chief Magistrate, Priya Sewnarine-Beharry remanded them to prison until December 23 when they will appear in the Sparendaam Magistrates’ Court.

Police said the men were caught on December 19 with one .45 pistol and four matching rounds.

Attorney-at-Law, Euclin Gomes  told the court that Fareen had no knowledge of the handgun.
