Last Updated on Saturday, 26 December 2015, 21:00 by GxMedia

Osnah Dillon- Jardine
An overseas-based Guyanese is the country’s latest road fatality after she was killed in an accident on Friday morning.

Osnah Dillon- Jardine, 39, was involved in a two vehicular smash up at Liliendaal, East Coast Demerara around 12:30 AM.

Five others, Kestor Douglas, Carl James, Quacy Mc Calmont  and two others-names only given as Enzo and Gregory-  were also injured in the accident.osna car
Demerara Waves understands that motor cars PPP 1802 and PNN 4182 collided. As a result motor car PNN 4182 spun off the wet roadway and into the nearby trench.

The dead woman, who was staying at her brother at Industry, East Coast Demerara, was said to be an occupant of the car which ended up in the trench.

Demerara Waves also understands that the woman had left earlier in the day to get her hair done at a friend and told her brother that he did not have to pick her up because she would have returned on her home.

Jardine, a teacher, would have celebrated her birthday on Friday- December, 20. She arrived in Guyana on December 13 to surprise her brothers and spend the Christmas holiday in her home country.

Details surrounding the accident are still sketchy, investigation continues.
