A man who allegedly murdered his mentally ill brother was Wednesday arraigned for the offence.38-year old Neville France was not required to plea to the indictable charge when he appeared before City Magistrate, Ann Mc Lennan.
Police say that he murdered 20-year old Richard France on December 12 at Falls Top, Port Kaituma, North West District.
The murder accused was not required to plea to the indictable charge and he was remanded to prison until a second court appearance on Thursday before Chief Magistrate, Priya Sewnarine-Beharrry.
Investigations have revealed that the two brothers had been imbibing when an argument erupted. Richard allegedly hit Neville who retaliated and struck his brother dead.
