Minibus slams into steel-laden truck, driver seriously hurt

A minibus driver was seriously injured when the vehicle he was driving slammed into the back of a steel-laden truck.

Sherwin Reynolds sustained facial and neck injuries. He was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) where he was receiving treatment.

The accident occurred on the Mc Doom Public Road, East Bank Demerara shortly before 4 PM. Reynolds hails from El Dorado Village, West Coast Berbice. He lived in Linden and currently resides in Melanie Damishana, East Coast Demerara with his girlfriend.

The circumstances of the mishap were not immediately available.
