Ghana intercepts ship from Guyana with cocaine

Ghana’s Western Naval Command on Tuesday arrested a foreign vessel carrying 21 bags of substances suspected to be cocaine, Ghanian news media reported on Tuesday.

The vessel, “ATIYAH, George-Town”, according to a source, was travelling from Guyana arrested and was escorted by Ghana Naval Ship Yaa Asantewaa to the Sekondi Naval Base.

The five men on board the ship together with the substances have been flown by a military helicopter to the nation’s capital, Accra, for further investigation. – See more at:
