General Manager for gold mining company dies in smash-up

He has been identified as 35-year old Albert Roberts of Line Road, Potaro. He was the General Manager for a gold mining operation owned by a son of Ricky Ramnarine.

Usually reliable sources said the All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) he was driving collided with a truck. At the time of the accident, he was returning from a mining concession. He was returning to the crossing for the final leg of his journey home by boat and road.

The father of a one-year old daughter had started working with the company about three weeks ago.
