Two wanted for car fraud

Tashini Sitaram and Khemraj Narine
Two persons are wanted in connection with the alleged defrauding of several persons of millions of dollars for the purchase and importation of cars, police said.

Tashini Sitaram and Khemraj Narine are “wanted by the police for questioning in relation to obtaining money by false pretence.”

Deputy Police Commissioner, Seelall Persaud said police have received several reports about the duo’s alleged involvement in that fraud.

He said the wanted bulletin was issued after several attempts to contact the suspects were futile. An office in Georgetown where they had operated from has been closed, police said.

Persaud said that immigration records do not show that they have left Guyana through official ports.

Police said that anyone with information about Narine and Sitaram is asked to contact the police on telephone numbers 225-6411, 225-2227, 226-7065, 227-1149, 911 or the nearest police station.

Narine and Sitaram’s last known addresses have been given as 7-8 Robb Street, Bourda & Lot 55 Austin Street, Campbellville, Georgetown. Sitaram’s has been given

Prior to the issuance of the wanted bulletin, at least one person who has been defrauded had posted up wanted posters on buildings across Georgetown.
