Well-known Berbice doctor, Physul Sattaur, was killed when the car he was driving slammed into a truck on the Number 19 Public Road, Berbice.

Sattaur,70, had earlier Sunday evening left a cricket match at the Albion Sports Club Ground for his home at Coburg Street, New Amsterdam.

The Polish-trained doctor was extracted from his mangled car and rushed to the Intensive Care Unit of the New Amsterdam Hospital where he succumbed.

Sattaur’s wife and colleagues were among those who flocked the medical institution on receiving the sad news.

Dr. Sattaur once practiced at the New Amsterdam Hospital and later served on its Board of Directors until his passing.
