A man, who allegedly stole GUY$2.1 million worth of items from a house, was Wednesday refused bail and remanded to prison.

Frankie Slowe is accused of committing the offence between July 22 and 23 at Ganges Street, Prashad Nagar.

The court, presided over by City Magistrate Faith Mc Gusty, was told that Jeffrey and Slowe are known to each other.

The accused was not required to plea to the charge and he was remanded to prison until September 4.

At the time of the incident, Jeffrey went overseas and left Shellon St. John in charge of his home. The prosecution also related that when the woman left the house on June 22 about 7:45 PM, Slowe allegedly prised open the backdoor with a crowbar and removed the items.

Investigations revealed that Slowe allegedly sold the items to a man at Springlands, Corentyne. The items were not recovered.
