A Brazilian man was Sunday shot by another of his countrymen during an argument about a damaged excavator, police said.
29-year old Radiel Silva Lima was shot and injured to his left leg by another Brazilian man who is a licensed firearm holder.
He has been hospitalised. The perpetrator has been also hospitalised under police guard after he complained of feeling unwell.
Investigators said the incident occurred about 6 AM at Waimu, Cuyuni River. “Lima was involved in an argument with another Brazilian National, who is a licensed firearm holder, over damage to an excavator when he was shot,” police said.
The firearm that was used in the incident been seized by the police.
