Port Kaituma woman stabbed by partner

A woman was Friday night stabbed by her common-law husband and admitted a patient at the Port Kaituma Hospital, authorities said.

The incident occurred at the Port Kaituma bus park. The woman should have been air-dashed to the city for treatment of stab wounds to one of her arms and her abdomen.  At the centre of the dispute, is her alleged unfaithfulness.

The woman, who is a clothes vendor, is expected to be flown to the city on Saturday. She returned to Port Kaituma several hours before the vicious attack.

The man- Sean Jones- who is a porter has been arrested. He and the woman are originally from Mc Doom, Port Kaituma.

Demerara Waves Online News (www.demwaves.com) was told that two had been in a domestic dispute two months ago.
