GWI blames GPL for poor water service

Last Updated on Saturday, 26 December 2015, 21:01 by GxMedia

Guyana Water Incorporated (GWI)on Monday blamed the Guyana Power and Light’s (GPL) fluctuations for less than satisfactory water production.

Sections of Georgetown as well as East Bank Demerara from Agricola to Timehri are experiencing water service disruptions due to Guyana Power and Light (GPL) power fluctuations.

“Normal service will return when GPL restores full power to GWI water production sites,” GWI says in a statement.

GWI says it apologizes for any inconvenience caused.

For updates, customers can call GWI’s Customer Services Call Centre on 227-8701, 03 or 04; e-mail customercallcentre@gwi.gy  or visit www.gwiguyana.com
