Police Thursday night captured three suspected bandits and recovered two firearms following a gunfight on the East Coast Demerara, police sources said.
Sources said Odingo Allen,23, of Brush Dam and Strathspey, East Coast Demerara was shot to his right knee. Elroy Newton,23, sustained lacerations to his face.
The confrontation ensued when mobile police patrol foiled a robbery at a Chinese restaurant on the Coldingen Public Road.
Police later said in a statement that one Keltec 9mm sub-machine gun with 9 rounds and a .38 Revolver with two rounds were found in possession of the men.
