The results of this year’s National Grade Six Assessment (NGSA) are to be made public on Friday, an education source says.
The official told Demerara Waves Online News that Education Minister Priya Manickchand will present a report on the results at a press conference at 1PM.
The results from this year’s exam along with those from exams written at Grades Two and Four will be used to determine the secondary school placement of some 17,000 primary school students.
Regional education officials are expected to collect their region’s results on Friday and they will be available to parents and students from Monday at the schools and regional offices the official said.
Manickchand last month committed to having the results out within the first week of this month, representing the earliest the release has ever been made.
