Consideration of budget estimates to start Monday

New APNU parliamentarian Rennita Williams was Wednesday sworn in allowing the opposition to carry the vote in favour of consideration of the budget estimates beginning next Monday.

Williams replaces Richard Allen who collapsed in the House last Thursday and remains hospitalised.

The government had been pushing for the consideration of the estimates to begin on Wednesday, a day after debate on the budget ended but the opposition argued that they needed more time to peruse the budget with their experts.

Williams is a representative of Region One.
