Digicel solar equipment stolen from Omai site

Digicel CEO Gregory Dean Digicel on Saturday revealed that the solar equipment it was using to power its Omai site was stolen with CEO Gregory Dean expressing disappointment. The theft which occurred on Thursday resulted in the total loss of services in Omai and surrounding communities, a company release stated. The police are investigating the theft.

Miners killed in Guyana, Venezuela

Two Guyanese miners have been killed and one man has been arrested in connection with one of the homicides. The Guyana Police Force identified the dead men as 23-year old Rafael Randy of Kamwatta Village, North West District and Titus Daniels of Yarakita.

APNU wants CARICOM to recommit support for Guyana’s sovereignty
