A woman has been arrested in connection with the alleged fatal stabbing of her boyfriend at Block 22, Wismar, Linden, the Guyana Police Force (GPF) said in a statement.
Investigators said 30-year-old carpenter Kevin Alexander was killed on Monday, November 10, 2025 at about 9:45 p.m. during an argument with his girlfriend.
“Preliminary investigations revealed that Alexander and his 28-year-old girlfriend, a housewife of the same address were involved in an argument during which the suspect allegedly stabbed him once to the left side of his abdomen,” the GPF said.
Police said the injured man was assisted by relatives and public-spirited citizens and taken to the Linden Hospital Complex where he was pronounced dead on arrival by a doctor on duty.
The suspect was subsequently arrested and placed in custody.
