One person is killed and two others are injured in a loud explosion that rocked several parts of Georgetown.
The incident occurred at about 7:24 p.m. at the Mobil gas station on Regent and King streets, Georgetown. A mangled car was seen at the scene.
The cause of the explosion was not immediately known, but it occurred near the cooking gas depot.
The gas station’s convenience store and nearby Acme Building, and two buildings on the north-western end of the corner were also damaged.
