An elderly woman, who lived alone, was raped and killed at her home on the Essequibo Coast.
The body of 73-year old Surspattie Ramlakhan was found in her house at Richmond Village Friday morning.
Investigators told Demerara Waves Online News that Singh’s body had marks of violence on her neck and vagina.
The house was not ransacked and preliminarily there is no evidence that anything was stolen.
She was last seen alive on Thursday.Neighbours thought was something was amiss after they did not see her praying and doing chores around the yard.
