The United States-headquartered DeVry University is seeking to get a foothold in Guyana and the rest of the Caribbean, aiming to target organisations and the wider Guyanese community.
In an increasingly competitive distance education market, DeVry University’s “Bridge to Brilliance Initiative” would be offering students a 50% tuition scholarship and waived application fees while enrolling in flexible, career-focused programs.
“We are strong in areas of human resource management, cyber security, health care, business programs, Artificial Intelligence (AI), operational management offering learning at the level of short, specially tailored courses to meet the needs of a corporate client or individuals to certificate, associate and bachelor’s degree programs in addition to post-graduate programs. All programs can be done completely online, on a 24-hour basis, specially adapted to meet the needs of working professionals,” the institution said.
Mr Neville Madden, DeVry University’s Director of International Enrollment – Caribbean would be visiting Guyana from April 10th to April 13th, 2025. During his visit, he would be meeting with intended applicants at the Georgetown Club on Saturday April, 12th from 9 am to 5 pm. Registration fees are also being waved for Guyanese and Caribbean students.
Mr Madden also hopes to meet with top executives to discuss how DeVry University of the US “can support your organization’s development through customized upskilling and reskilling programs.” “Mr. Madden would be extremely happy if he can get a contextual sense of how the University can assist with your membership at a 50 percent reduction in tuition fees as opportunities for tertiary education abound through our Initiative,” the Illinois-headquartered tertiary institution said.
