An accomplice of Kevin Fields, who was shot dead during an armed robbery last month, was Friday charged with two counts of robbery under arms.
He is 21-year old Howard Rambharose of 6 Second Street, Meadow Bank East Bank Demerara.
Rambharose was not required to plea to the indictable charges and he was refused bail. He was refused bail and remanded to prison until September 22, 2014.
Court documents state that on June 30, 2014 at Medicare Pharmacy, Sandy Babb Street, Kitty Georgetown, being armed with a gun he robbed Nalinie Kawall of GUY$833,000 and other articles with a total value of GUY$955,000.
Rambharose is also accused of robbing Leroy Hinds of GUY$1.7 million on July 14, 2014 at Ramchand Auto Sales, Sherriff Street, Georgetown,.
Police Prosecutor Inspector Michael Grant objected to bail based on the nature and prevalence of the offence and moreover that Rambharose was wanted in connection for other alleged robberies.
Fields was killed on July 14, 2014 shortly after he had grabbed a bag containing money from a businessman at the Auto Sales enterprise. Fields had posted several pictures of himself with guns, masks and large sums of cash.
