Guns seized; five arrested

Five persons, including two women, were arrested Monday in connection with the discovery of two handguns.

Police said that about 5:30 PM, they responded to a report that two men were involved in an altercation at Mc Doom, East Bank Demerara.

The men were arrested and one of them was found in possession of an unlicensed .32 Taurus revolver.

And at about 9:30 PM, police searched a car, PJJ 8620, at Hogg and James Streets, Albouystown,  Georgetown during which an unlicensed .32 Taurus revolver with 6 matching rounds was found.

Police said that two men and two women have been arrested and were  assisting with the investigations.
