A father and a son were shot Saturday afternoon in Georgetown in an attempted robbery moments after they closed their business for the day.
Well-placed sources said the father been identified as 65-year old Inshan Ally of 20 Peter’s Hall, East Bank Demerara. He sustained a gunshot wound to his left palm.
His son was shot to his abdomen and has been admitted to the St. Joseph’s Mercy Hospital.
Sources said Ally and his son had just closed up their business at the corner of Robb and King Streets, Georgetown about 4 PM when a lone gunman exited a car and opened fire on them.
