Husband shot during second major robbery for Thursday

A man was shot to his chest and right shoulder and his wife robbed of a bag containing GUY$150,000 and documents, police said.

They are 39-year old Sunil Ramesh and his wife, 36-year old Anjanie Ramesh.

The incident occurred about 12:30 PM on Church Street, Georgetown. The perpetrators escaped on a motor cycle.
 
Sunil Ramesh has been admitted to a private hospital.

That is the second major reported robbery for Thursday, the first was on Lombard Street where a money changer was gunned down and a bag containing about GUY$1 million was carted off by two men on a motorbike.
