R Kelly concert postponed

Award-winning R&B singer R. Kelly will no longer be coming to Guyana for a concert this weekend because he has fallen ill, a spokesman for the promoter said Wednesday afternoon.

Khalsan TR Inc. said Mc Neal and HJ Promotions have received correspondence saying that Kelly fell ill after his tour to South Africa.

The company said Kelly wanted to reschedule as he was still interested in having a concert in Guyana.

The promoters are scheduled to discuss the details at a news conference on Thursday.

Refunds and proposed new dates are among issues to be discussed, Khalsan said in a statement.
