Teen chopped, beaten to death; partner arrested

Last Updated on Saturday, 26 December 2015, 21:01 by GxMedia

In the fourth gruesome attack on a female by her partner in just over one week, a 17-year old girl was Thursday afternoon beaten and chopped to death at Diamond Housing Scheme, East Bank Demerara.

Her alleged assailant, said to be a 19 19 year old man, has been arrested, police said.

The dead girl has been identified as Angela Mc Allister of Sparendaam, East Coast Demerara. Police said she was lashed and chopped about her body.

Police said the incident occurred around 2:20 PM when she was involved in an argument with a man with whom she shared a relationship.

The former student of Cummings Lodge Secondary School was pronounced dead on arrival at the Diamond Hospital. Her mother left for the United States (US) two weeks ago.

Mc Allister’s death marks the fourth violent attack on a woman by her male companion.

Police have since issued wanted bulletins for Richard Lord of Zeelugt, East Bank Essequibo and Shawn Fordyce. Lord is wanted for the alleged murder of his children- five year old Kimberley Houston and two-year old Tarif Lord- on July 31. He chopped them to death and also severely chopped his wife.

Fordyce is wanted for the alleged murder of his wife  47-year old Dorothy Blackman,12-year old Donnette Fordyce, 26-year old Wonda Fortune and 20-year old Latoya Wilson. He allegedly chopped them on August 2 at their Sophia home.

Former Guyana Defence Force soldier, Ryan James allegedly stabbed his wife, Angela Richmond several times on August 3 at their home in Mahaica before committing suicide by drinking poison.
