“Bring the Minister” – Rioting Prisoners want Ramjattan

Last Updated on Friday, 4 March 2016, 23:47 by Denis Chabrol

Prisoners currently engaged in a prison riot that has seen the death of some 17 other prisoners are requesting the presence of National Security Minister and Vice President Khemraj Ramjattan.

Prisoners during a brief exchange with Police Commander Clifton Hicken made the request for Ramjattan to show himself.

Prisoners are alleging that prison officials left their brethren to die in the fire.

One of the prisoners shouted from a cell thay had its’s walls kicked out that “nobody ain’t want escape… People wan go out the right way…them choose to muredee them in there.

The prisoners are alleging that joint services ranks  “throw tear gas in the fire” on Thursday.

This, the prisoners contend would have led to the death of the seven prisoners since ranks also allegedly turned off the water to the block.

“I rather carry this building with me…The whole f**k**g jail gotta break up,” shouted Gray Boy accused of the murder of Courtney Crum-Ewing.

The prisoners also lounged a missile in the form of a bottle of soap liquid at Commander Hicken who managed to dodge the missile.

Presently prisoners have made their way to the  compound of the facility and are lounging missiles outside.

It also appears as though the man have furnished themselves with a hacksaw and are sawing their way through the facility.

Demerara Waves also understand that Tactical Service Unit (TSU) ranks have already been dispatched to the prison.
